About Flaming Pig

FlamingPig.co.uk was established in 2007 by Ben McArdle, a 2:1 Honours computer science graduate from the university of Hull, Scarborough campus. Ben is fluent in many programming languages, particularly Java, Perl, PHP, PostgreSQL, XHTML and CSS.

Charlotte Dyer put the pink in flamingpig and is the designer of all our layouts and graphics. She is responsible for creating any initial sketchbook pages for the client, to stimulate ideas during the preliminary meetings. These brainstorms are then transferred to the page to enable our programmers to build a high standard web site that looks as required. FlamingPig.co.uk offers the design and creation of databases, banners/Logos and websites at an affordable price. All websites are created from scratch without using web development applications (e.g dreamweaver). This means that our websites are more accessible for screen readers (For visitors who are visually impaired) and also more efficient running than websites made with web development applications. Curly the Pig was born without flames in late 2007, but was unfortunately struck by lightning causing him to flame uncontrollably. He now lives happily on our website.
